Today 10th of October is the world mental health day.
On this day especially, we try to raise awareness of mental health issues and mobilize efforts to support mental health.
We come together to talk about behavioral health challenges we face and the hope that we have in making mental health better for people in our communities.
At Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, we have a behavioral health services department that is part of the Tribal Health Services.
As they say in Australia, Mental health starts with ‘Me’. Take care of yourself and always be kind.
Kind to ourselves first and also to people around us- for we do not always know what battle they are fighting.
