John Grossomanides, Pharm.D, R.Ph.

Director of Pharmacy Operations – Pequot Pharmaceutical Network (PRxN)

Dr. Grossomanides has executive leadership and strategic responsibilities for the operations of Pequot Pharmaceutical Network, which includes oversight of a retail pharmacy, large volume mail-order prescription service and Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) initiatives. John’s responsibilities also include maintaining effective systems for financial, inventory and narcotic control to facilitate compliance with Federal and other regulatory agencies. He also provides subject matter expertise for vendor procurement, contract negotiations, prescription drug plan design, drug utilization review programs, formulary compliance programs and market trend analysis.

John has over 30 years of retail, hospital, long-term care, and managed care pharmacy experience. Prior to joining PHC, John worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers providing cost saving prescription strategies to large self-funded employers and health plans. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Doctor of Pharmacy, both from the University Of Rhode Island College Of Pharmacy.
